Ed is a senior member of the firm’s Trademark and Copyright Teams.

Ed’s extensive experience includes examining applications for registration of trademarks as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, as well as examining claims to copyright as a Copyright Examiner (Registration Specialist) at the U.S. Copyright Office. Ed is one of fewer than 30 Board Certified Specialists in Trademark Law in the country. 

In addition, Ed is a member of the faculty at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law where he has taught such courses as Trademarks, Trademark Prosecution, International Trademark Registration, and Fundamentals of Intellectual Property. Ed also served as the Interim Director of the Intellectual Property and Transactions Clinic at UNH Franklin Pierce (which is part of the USPTO-Certified Trademark Clinic Program), and created a course on Trademark Searching which he continues to teach.
