David Taylor is a senior attorney who joined the firm in 2024.
David has over 30 years of experience in patent prosecution and litigation, focusing his practice on U.S. and foreign patent procurement, client counseling with respect to creating and maintaining patent portfolios, and preparing patentability, (in)validity, and (non)infringement opinions. David has prosecuted and/or litigated patents in a variety of technologies spanning the mechanical, chemical, and chemical engineering arts. Specific fields of technology in which David has counseled clients are diverse, and include chemical compounds and compositions, automotive parts, building industry products, light emitting diodes, carbon capture, medical devices, semiconductor devices, Internet-driven solutions, nano-technology, nutritional supplements, polymers, rocket propulsion systems, explosives, agricultural equipment, optical fiber production, and electrochemical devices and processes, among many others. While David’s career has focused on patent preparation and prosecution, he enjoys working on trademark matters and has become an integral part of the RAPHAEL BELLUM PLLC trademark team.

Prior to joining RAPHAEL BELLUM PLLC in 2024, David spent over half of his career at Berenato & White, LLC, a Maryland patent boutique handing prosecution and litigation in the intellectual property area. Before that, he was an attorney for seven years with the law firm of Cushman, Darby, & Cushman in Washington, DC.
