Stephen Bellum is co-Managing Partner of the firm and leads our biotechnology practice on the Chemistry and Life Sciences Team.
Stephen counsels clients with respect to developing and implementing bespoke patent prosecution strategies. He draws from his diverse medical research background and extensive experience prosecuting patents and managing international patent families, drafting international PCT patent application disclosures that will support national and regional patent prosecution worldwide. Stephen also has extensive experience with opinion work, including providing Freedom to Operate, patentability and invalidity opinions.

Stephen has practiced with the Firm since 2010. Stephen began his IP law career as a technical specialist and student associate at a leading, global intellectual property law firm. Prior to then, he was a biomedical researcher at the Maine Medical Research Institute.
